I highly recommend GETTING LOST to anyone who travels. The element of surprise--that secret garden or hole-in-the-wall bakery, undiscovered by guidebooks and Anthony Bourdain, is what makes life, well, so damn fun. Mimi and I are currently lost in a redwood forest. However, we have our warm vintage coat with the orange lining, a bottle of Syrah, some sourdough bread and brie. We're in no hurry to get found. Ever.
