Gold Souks of Bahrain

Shopping for gold in the Middle East is one of life's opulent pleasures.  It is here in the gold souks of Bahrain where my shopping addiction took root and continued to grow.  I could afford a gold charm now and then and sought them out every opportunity that arose.  Those hundreds, no thousands, of lustrous yellow chains lured me into the shops like a moth to light.

I love my gold charm bracelet.  My charms include an oil derrick, a camel, a tea pot, the Koran and a dhow, all souvenirs of my four years in the Middle East, and now with gold skyrocketing, it has become even more precious.
