Hugh Laurie plays the role of the pirate Blackbeard
Hugh Laurie has received an offer to perform the title role in the 10-adventure serial drama television channel NBC "Skull and Bones" ("Crossbones"), told Hollywood Reporter. If the agreement between Laurie and creators of the series is signed, the famous actor will recreate the image of English pirate Blackbeard (real name Edward Tiych). He acted in the Caribbean region during the first half of the eighteenth century. The series "Skull and Bones" will be Colin Uudard book "The Republic of Pirates" ("The Republic of Pirates"). It will be adapted for the screen by writer Neil Cross who participated in the creation of teleseriala "Luther."
