Mimi on the Planet of the Apes

One thousand cast and crew members made the Trona Pinnacles in California's Mojave Desert, home for several weeks as they filmed Tim Burton's 2001 version of The Planet of the Apes.  Mimi poses on Calima,
where ape civilization began and where Leo (Mark Wahlberg) discovered the ruins of his spaceship.

If these pinnacles look familiar, you have probably seen them in numerous car commercials and other sci-fi movies like Gate II and Star Trek V:  The Final Frontier.  This is where Captain Kirk meets "God".
