Although the Rock of Gibraltar is impressive, it is these tailless Barbary Macaques that we talk about the most. These little imps are the only free-living primates in Europe and seemed to revel in the attention. They are fearless, mischievous and at times, downright mean, throwing rocks at our car and stealing a pack of gum off our dashboard.
In town (away from the monkeys) we had very British beef and onion pie and a Barbary beer. Bought a white linen blouse at the Marks and Spencer store.
