Amazing UFO over Santee, California - May 23, 2013

SANTEE, San Diego, Calif. - 10News went looking for answers after a local woman snapped photos of an unidentified object flying over Santee.

Ellen Henry told 10News her camera stopped working after snapping photos at a historical barn.

Henry said she is convinced that whatever she saw hovering over Santee's Edgmoore Barn is not from this world. She did not want to show her face on camera because she said she was still spooked by what she captured.

"I was like what was it doing there," said Henry. "Why was it there? What was it doing? And I said, the next time I come here, the barn will be beamed up."

The barn sits under several flight paths. 10News contacted Gillespie Field and MCAS Miramar, but neither could offer an explanation:

Some say what flew overhead is not out of the ordinary because of what has been reported around the barn.

"We think someone's come into the barn and we get up to look, and no one is there," said Elaine Murphy, president of the Santee Historical Society.

The group, which oversees the barn-turned-museum, said the property used to be part of a poor farm and hospital grounds. It also draws paranormal investigators because of reported ghost sightings.

Some residents are weighing in on the idea of a UFO hovering over a haunted barn.

"Oh yeah, I do believe we are not alone out here, that's for sure," said one resident.

10News checked with the National UFO Reporting Center and found that only one UFO sighting has been reported in San Diego during the month of May.

UFO Sightings In Canada On The Rise 2013

UFO sightings in Canada are at an all-time high, according to Canadian sky-gazers.

The annual report from Ufology Research documented 1,981 UFO sightings in Canada in 2012, more than double 2011's record 986.

Chris Rutkowski, a civilian science writer who has produced the Canadian UFO survey since 1989, has just finished compiling all of 2012 reports.

"It's something across the board," said Rutkowski. "People in Canada were actually looking up into the sky more than in previous years."

The objects people witness come in a variety of forms — from triangles and balls of fire, to the more traditionally ovoid-shaped flying saucers, hovering in the sky.X 40% of Canada's UFOs were spotted in Ontario.

Adam Canning, 10, of Lake Charlotte, N.S., is one of the many hundreds of Canadians who are reporting UFOs. He said the UFO he witnessed with a friend earlier this year looked like an orb.

"I could see it in the distance for about a minute and then like boom, it went really fast," said Adam, standing on a hill near his house, pointing at the sky.

 Several Ufology experts say if the number of sightings keeps rising, Ottawa will have to pay attention.

Witnesses Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident: Interview from Citizen Hearing on Disclosure - May 2, 2013

Around 3 a.m. on 26 December 1980 an Unidentified Flying Object was reported by a security patrol near the East Gate of RAF Woodbridge.

Servicemen initially thought it was a downed aircraft but, upon entering the forest to investigate, they saw many strange lights moving through the trees, as well as a bright light from an unidentified object.

After daybreak on the morning of 26 December, servicemen returned to the small clearing where the conical object had been seen, and found three small impressions in a triangular pattern, as well as burn marks and broken branches on nearby trees.

Servicemen from RAF Woodbridge's sister base, RAF Bentwaters, returned to the forest again, following another sighting in the early hours of 28 December 1980.

John Burroughs and Jim Penniston were U.S. Air Force security personnel in late December of 1980 when there was a mass UFO sighting outside of two Royal Air Force bases, RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge, that were being used by the U.S. Air Force.

Burroughs and Penniston went out into the Rendlesham forest to investigate unidentified lights. They came across a craft that Penniston actually touched before it lifted up above the trees and took off at a very fast speed.

In the interview below, Penniston and Burroughs explain how they have had problems obtaining their service and medical records during the time of the UFO event. The deputy base commander Lt Col Charles I. Halt recorded the events on a micro-cassette recorder. The site investigated by Halt was near the eastern edge of the forest, at approximately 52° 05 20 N, 1° 26 57 E.

Later, lights were seen in the sky to the north and south, the brightest of which beamed down a stream of light.

Airbus almost crashing with UFO over Glasgow UK - Apr 30, 2013

An airbus carrying with about 180 passengers over Scotland came within just 300ft of colliding with a UFO, an official probe has revealed. 

The plane was less than 10 seconds away from hitting the object as it flew over Baillieston on the outskirts of Glasgow at 3,500ft and prepared to land. 

The shocked pilot reported the collision risk as ‘high’.

The A320 was descending into Glasgow in clear conditions with the sun behind, when both the plane’s pilots saw an object described by the crew as blue, yellow and silver and then it flew underneath the jet before the pilot had any time to react.

The controller stated he was not talking to anyone else in that area and nothing was seen on radar.

The pilots suggested the object may have been a glider or microlight, but investigators rejected this.

Turrialba Volcano was named after the region of Costa Rica in which the volcano is situated in Turrialba County, Cartago of Costa Rica.

The stratovolcano is 3,340 m (10,958 ft) high and is about 45 minutes from the Atlantic slope town of Turrialba.

Turrialba is adjacent to Irazú and both are among Costa Rica's largest volcanoes. It had at least five large explosive eruptions in last 3500 years.

UFO Encounter Over The Atlantic - Commander Graham Bethune Testimony

Cmdr. Graham Bethune is a retired Navy commander pilot with a top-secret clearance.

UFO Attack at Naval Base in Cape Town? - April, 2013

An UFO captured on video for about 40 minutes was sighted over the naval base in Simon’s Town Naval Base, Cape Town when hundreds of rounds were fired into the air at around 9 pm Saturday night ( 6th April 2013). 

It is unclear whether the firing was aimed at the UFO but its certain that the UFO did not respond. 

The video captured by a resident shows an object that could be either cylindrical or “V” shaped directly above the sea, while flairs are shot at it. The UFO made no sound and was about a mile offshore. 

By estimation the UFO or USO is about 4 miles long and possibly the largest unidentified flying object recorded. The UFO(s) seems to have some stealth capability as they were not visible with the naked eye till captured with a Night vision AX Professional IR camcorder. 

The new footage released by World News Tomorrow USA caused havoc in the UFO world, as it seems to prove that there was indeed some aggressive firing, on what seems to appear as a giant UFO. The naval base first dismissed that there was any firing of any sort, however they later changed their statements by saying it was only a navy drill, scheduled months in advance to take place between the hours of 8 pm and 9 pm. "Spacecraft over Mexico" - Air Traffic Controller Enrique Kolbeck Testimony

Vasily Yeremenko: Former KGB agent reveals Soviet UFO studies

The Soviet Union took UFOs seriously. The KGB and the Soviet Defence Ministry had dedicated units collecting and analysing information about paranormal activity. Military experts even claimed to know how to "summon" UFOs and make contact with them.

 Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was recently asked an unusual question. A REN TV correspondent asked him, as a former president, if it was true that, together with the nuclear briefcase, the head of state was presented with a classified folder with materials about UFOs.

Dmitry Medvedev said this was true. According to the prime minister, in addition to the folder, the head of state was presented with a report from the secret services, whose task it was to control the aliens on Russian territory. When asked by journalist if there were many aliens living among us, Medvedev refused to elaborate, “so as not to create a panic.” However, he did suggest that those interested in the subject watch a "documentary chronicle" called "Men in Black.".

It happened at end of March, at the Zigel Readings conference named after Felix Zigel – a Soviet astronomer and mathematician who is largely credited with being the founder of ufology in Russia. For many years, reports of UFO sightings were treated in the Soviet Union as non-science, or fiction not worthy of attention from serious scientists. Only a few enthusiasts like Felix Zigel realized that those facts needed to be studied seriously. In the 1960s, Zigel delivered many public lectures on the topic, thus prompting volunteers to join in the task of collecting information on unidentified flying objects.

The watershed moment for the official attitude toward UFOs came in 1978, when hundreds – if not thousands – of people in Petrozavodsk witnessed a strange luminous object in the sky for several hours. The local emergencies services were inundated with letters and calls from frightened members of the public. Even neighboring countries asked the Soviet Union to explain what mysterious military exercise it was holding.

The last straw was a letter from the academic Aleksandrov – the founding father of Soviet nuclear power plants – claiming that it would be a mistake to keep ignoring this issue. According to him, it was necessary to set up special programs to study these phenomena.

The source for this story is a retired FSB major general and researcher with an Academy of Security, Defense and Law and Order Issues, Vasily Yeremenko. At the time, Yeremenko - X-files was in charge of the KGB division overseeing the air force and aircraft manufacturing. It was his division that was entrusted with the task of collecting all reports of UFO sightings.

By that time, as Yeremenko told RBTH, there had been an accumulation of reports on numerous paranormal incidents. Missile Troops units were even instructed on how to behave in the event that they spotted a UFO: the main thing was not to act in a way that could create an opportunity for a retaliatory aggression.

In the early 1980s, an experiment to "summon" a UFO was staged at a military range in Astrakhan Region. "One could say that, during that experiment, we learned how to summon a UFO. To achieve that, there would be a sharp increase in the number of flights performed by combat aircraft and a lot of movement of hardware. Over time, all the participants in the experiment became so used to these phenomena that they took them for granted. Some even tried to make contact with the objects. "It looked like this: a person on the ground would wave their arms, twice to the right and twice to the left. The ball in the sky would react to it by swinging twice to the right and then twice to the left. We had no idea how to explain that," said Yeremenko.

In the end, the military, together with the scientists who took part in the experiment, came to three main conclusions. NASA Admitting Existence of Orbs and Strange Moving Objects, 2013
