Fairview Gardens

This historic 100-year-old farm sits in the middle of Goleta, California.  Its twelve acres of land provides organic fruits and vegetables to the local community.  We took the self-guided tour of this beautiful farm and were wowed by what the garden's staff and volunteers have accomplished.  The original owner declared the farm to have a "fair view" and indeed it does.

The forty-five minute walk takes you down orchards, rich fields of veggies, a green house, the crew's yurts, chickens and goats, compost piles and the old farmhouse.  We purchased these peaches at the stand and vowed to stop by again when the tomatoes are ripe!
