Along Drum Canyon Road

Pick a road, any road . . . and I guarantee you'll find something of interest.  Drum Canyon Road, between Los Alamos and Lompoc, California, took us up, up and away.  We passed vistas of the valley below, fields of flowers and two wineries.

My traveling companion and I spent a leisurely hour tasting wines.  We bought a pricey Syrah to be saved for another day, another road.
