I bought her kimono dress after watching Season 2 of Project Runway. I always liked how she dressed and so did Nina Garcia who wisely suggested she design the clothes she wore on the show. You can still buy this kimono wrap dress on her website. There are now 15 different color combinations available.
Kara is now married and has two children, but I am happy to announce she is still designing. She turned up recently in the June issue of Elle. Evidently she appeared on another reality show, "All on the Line", which gained her exposure once again. In the Elle article, Joe Zee had a group of designers make an outfit for a Size 14 woman. Kara's outfit was pretty darn adorable. She cut the sleeves off a blazer to make a vest and then belted it. The model paired it with skinny pants and a fedora. She looked quite svelte, and like the wrap dress, it is a universal look that is appropriate for Every Woman, whether 25, 35 or 55!
